Attractions
  • Poukka House and Kattesen kivi (stone of envy), summer café. The main building dates back to the early 18th century. 02-854 461.
  • Church of St. Michael, a three-aisle greystone church, built in late Gothic style in the 1480s, vault paintings.
  • Untamala is an almost 2000 years old village located along an old road on top of a ridge. In the churchyard of the idyllic wooden village church dedicated to St. Peter you can see an ancient stone monument called “Kalevanpojan viikatteentikku”.
  • Ventola Village Hall functions among other things as a venue for art exhibitions;  a café and a handiwork shop on the premises in summer.  02-853 565.
  • Kustaa Hiekka art centre, exhibitions in summer.
  • Kauppila Farm Museum and summer café. The museum of national significance is located in Koukkela village five kilometres from the municipality centre. 02-855 208.
