• Alikartano-Frugård Manor Museum. The history of the Manor, the childhood home of the explorer A.E. Nordenskiöld, is connected with the Nordenskiöld family since 1709. The main building dating from 1805 is unique as regards its architecture. 019-688 3398. www.nba.fi

• The history of the Sepänmäki artisans museum can be traced back to 18th century. This former living quarter of artisans has been restored to function as a museum. Open 16.6-15.8. Tue-Sun 12-18, closed on Mondays, at other times open by appointment. 040-314 5214 or 6888 070 (in summer). There is a café on the premises.
• Kirvu Museum, a collection of artefacts from Karelian parishes which were ceded to Russia after World War II. Open by agreement 019-687 1666.
• The church of Mäntsälä, a brick church from 1865/66, functions as a road church in summer. 019-560 7500
