Kauhajoki is situated in the southern part of the province of Southern Ostrobothnia.

- The Heritage House of the War Veterans of Kauhajoki presents the work and experiences of Kauhajoki veterans for the national defence, 06 232 4484. Map
- The Main Church designed in 1958 by Veikko Larkas is an example of modern architecture. Map
- The Village Churches of Kauhajärvi and Nummijärvi.

- The National Parks of Lauhanvuori and Kauhaneva-Pohjankangas. Guided nature walks, a 150 km ATB bike trail, a good network of crosscountry skiing tracks and a good hiking area. Map
