The idyllic rural municipality Korsnäs is located on the west coast 50 km south of Vaasa. Arriving at the municipality border, the visitor will be welcomed by Spiron, a modified design of an old sea buoy. Molpe fishing village Map with outdoor activities. A guest marina, a beach with a jumping tower and a possibility for winter swimming at Stormlyktan, the village council sauna and meeting room. Korsnäs cruciform Church (designed by C.L. Engel) Map with a museum compound. The textile room of Korsnäs Local Heritage Museum displays unique colourful Korsnäs pullovers. An exhibition of seal hunting and peasant utensils. The Parsonage Museum situated in the same compound presents the daily life of a clergyman’s family in the 19th century. A nature trail at the birch alley of Kyrkobyvägen in the centre represents a green oasis with its old time plants. North of the municipal centre are situated the Waterloo shooting range and club house as well as the starting point of the hiking trail to Lisagrynnan, where a 45-metre tall mining tower reminds us of the years 1961-1971 when lead was mined by Outokumpu. in Korsnäs. The fishing harbour at Storkors circa 4 km from the municipality centre includes a guest marina.
