Welcome to Uusikaarlepyy, a little town at its best an idyllic small town at the mouth of the Lapuanjoki River. The town was established in 1620 by the Swedish King Gustavus Adolphus to promote the trade of the region. Uusikaarlepyy is also the hometown of the writer Zacharias Topelius, popularly called the "fairy-tale uncle of Finland". That is why the town bears the nickname "fairy-tale town". The town offers the whole family a lot to see and to experience ranging from the idyllic old town milieu to the beautiful surrounding countryside and the archipelago.

At Kuddnäs Museum the visitor gets acquainted with the childhood home of the writer Zacharias Topelius. The main building with the outhouse buildings offers a picture of life in a well-to-do 19th-century home. Kuddnäs has been a museum since 1934. The renovated. Jutbacka manor dating from the early 1820s provides banquet and meeting facilities up to 50 persons and a meeting space for a smaller group. Coffee and meals served in the banquet hall or in the restaurant.
