Halsua is located in the heart of countryside, in the midst of nature. The perennial park of Halsua comprises over 700 different species of perennials, i.e. flowers that live for more than two years. The Local Heritage Museum of Halsua located in the village of Meriläinen presents the development of peasant tradition since the 18th century. The museum compound includes twenty-two buildings and over 3000 artefacts. Halsua Church, the Halsua House and the Viljami Kalliokoski Museum are sites worth visiting. Halsua offers excellent opportunities for hiking, fishing and other outdoor activities. The junction of snowmobile routes is at the holiday village Masala.
