In Kemi, we are open-minded and innovate. Creative madness is an enjoyment for us, but it’s something extra-special for you.
In winter we offer trips on board an icebreaker thundering out to the arctic cold of the Perämeri Sea, visits to the exciting SnowCastle with its programmes and skiing and snowmobile safaris on the brilliant white expanse of snow and ice. Summer delights include aa sunny day at the brilliant sea in the inner harbour, a cruise on board a Jähti or Pirate ships to the archipelago, perhaps all the way to Perämeri National Park.
At the beginning of July pirates conquer Kemi proclaiming it a pirate town. At the end of July Harley-Davidsons roar into the inner harbour. At the Hullun Myllyn Restaurant two or three well-known Finnish pop music bands play every week during the summer.
You can enjoy all year round the splendours of the Kemi Gemstone Gallery, the theatre, pictorial arts and the services offered by friendly enterprises.
