The municipality of Kittilä, which is located in southern Fell-Lapland, is full of action and vitality. Kittilä offers a variety of landscape: the southern and middle parts are dominated by hills and large bogs and mires, while the northern part belongs to a chain of fells. Kittilä has well over thirty fells and hills, the most important of which are Levi, Kätkä, Aakenus and Kumpu. The most important water route is the river Ounasjoki which traverses the municipality. Kittilä boasts 313 lakes.
LEVI - ALL YEAR ROUND ACTIVITY RESORT
The Levi Summer of Experiences includes a large number of new activities. The Levi Golf & Country Club is a 18-hole golf course set in magnificent scenery, next to a fell pond. The DH trail of Levi Bike Park is the fastest in Finland and additional challenge for the daredevils is offered by the three free ride trails running to the summit of the fell as well as by the dirt and 4 cross trails. Levi Nordic Fitness Sports Park has 113 km of well-signposted trails for Nordic walking, running in a diverse fell landscape. Levi Adventure Park has six tracks of different lengths and representing different degrees of difficulty, from which the adventurer may choose a track to suit his or her ability.

- Taatsin Seita is a rock pillar located by the northern cliff of ravine-like Lake Taatsi. It used to be one of the grandest sacrifice places in Lapland.
- Koivurova mill was renovated by the museum authorities.
- Ruoppaköngäs is a natural formation of rocks, a lake and the river rapids.
- In Sammalselkä there is a reindeer round-up and 7 cottages renovated by the museum authorities.
- Linkuvuori volcano park. Along the sign-posted trail you can see the remaining rocks of an ancient volcano.
- Levi fell. Take the paved road to the top of Levi and see the majestic line of fjelds. The summit can also be accessed by gondola.
