The wide wilderness areas and lakes rich in fish of Lestijärvi invite visitors to spend their holidays in the peace of nature. There are excellent opportunities for fishing, hiking and canoeing. Guided trips are arranged to Metsäpeuranmaa, the retreat of the wild reindeer. Metsäpeuranmaa is a part of the European distant hiking trail E6 which passes through Lestijärvi.
