The most beautiful part of Kyrönmaa region

The banks of the river Kyrönjoki flowing across the plains of Southern Ostrobothnia have been inhabited since the Iron Age. The numerous findings from the grave sites in Vähäkyrö dating from 300-700 A.D. serve as evidence of prosperity and trade extending as far as the Mediterranean. Vähäkyrö has a rich history which is marked by the vicinity of the sea and in fact present-day Vähäkyrö lies on land which has risen from under the sea
